History
The place was mentioned under various names starting from 1141: Domo in Pinna, Penna de Homine, Penne de domo, Penna de Homo. The name should derive, however, from pinna (= a rock emerging from the ground). At first it belonged to Raimondo de Anichino (15th century) and then to the Malvini Malvezzi family (10th century).
