History
Remains of pre-Roman and Roman periods show that the area was inhabited in ancient times. The name is recorded only in the 14th century AD. It belonged to Pietro Antonio
Berardelli and afterwards to Giulio Caracciolo.

- The church of Santa Maria Maggiore with Baroque interior and the tomb of the feudal lord Giulio Caracciolo.
- The rural church of San Nicola di Bari, built in the 16th century in the Romanesque style
