Corvara

 Situated just below Mount Aquileio, this small village can show original stone houses from the late Middle Ages.The main activity of this village is linked, as in the past, to sheep farming. Houses, roads and buildings have retained their original appearance. The exclusive use of stone in the buildings sets it apart from other centers of the province of Pescara.

History
Its origins go back in time to the late Middle Ages, when the settlement belonged to the Monastery of St. Clemente a Casauria. During the 13th century, under the Angevin rule, Cantelmo I came into possession of Corvara and his family remained until the second half of the 16th century, when the D'Afflitto, counts of Loreto, became the new rulers.
