Federica Maddalena, 24, from Sulmona, an officer in the Italian air force, was the first Italian woman selected to be trained at the US base in Sheppard, TX. A graduate in the Military Academy of Pozzuoli, Naples, with a degree in political sciences, she says she could do it thanks to her Abruzzese stubborness.
