GreatGrandmother Giovina Pomponia she married Basilica (don't know his first name) they had Angelina born Nov. 13, 1888, Rachael born Jam.29,1898, Filomena born 1901 and a son Imberto who was a policeman in the late 1920's or 1930's. My Grandfather Eugenio Alberico was born in Caramanico, Pescara in 1910, his fathers name was Domenico Alberico,?date of birth, his mother was Crosifissa Brandolino, ? bithdate, I know they had several children some of the names are Pesquale Frank Vincent Gizene Condelia Peppino, I am not sure of the spelling of these names but they would be first names. My mom emigrated back in the 60's and the other half of the family emigrated in the 1920's. Both halfs of the family are from the Abruzzi region. By sheer coincidence, if there is such a thing, I met and married a man who was transfered to the west by his company. Through a chance meeting and eventually a date, I found out his family is from the same place and emigrated in the 1930's. I am interested in the name Liberatore, which I heard was of Spanish possibly basque origin. The Spanish occupied central Italy at one point. I am also interested in the name DiPaolo. Is the name Polo, as in the famous Marco, a corruption of this name?

My grandfather Luigi Sacripante came from the town of Penne whose town's archive aren't computerized yet. He emigrated to New York on Aug. 10, 1921,born in 1898 married to Gracia Brandolini from Penne also, but met in NY. She was born on Aug.26, 1903, emigrated to NYC in 1915 aboard the Lusitannia arriving at Ellis Island. My grandfather's father is Amaro Sacripante born in Penne in 1865. I'd like to trace it back further as Sacripante I was told dates back to B.C. meaning Sacred Pantheon, the person in charge of Sacrificing. I have a family Creast and other information, but would love to delve back further in to histoey. Any info would suffice. Penne Abruzzo is a beautiful place and went there on my Luna Di Miele and met all my relatives whom I hadn't seen since 1967. I'd love to retire there or back in The good ol' US of A one day.
