My grandfather Giusseppe Marsinelli(Mazzinelli) was born in Lanciano on October 27, 1883. I was wondering if there were still any Marsinelli's left in Lanciano and if I had any distant relatives still living there. My grandmother's name was Antoinetta DeFillippo and I believe she was born in February around 1888. I'm not sure if she was born in Canosa Sannita or Lanciana. I visited Ortona and the surrounding area in July to research the events of December 1943 when Canadian soldiers drove the Nazis out of the town. I was greeted in the most wonderful way by local people who were delighted to tell me stories and provide information. I was very moved by some of these stories and also by the wonderfully kept Moro Cemetery where 1375 of my fellow countrymen lie.

I am looking for help in finding information about my Mother's Father. His name was Ferdinand Frassinelli, born June 1, 1893 in Sulmona, but was abandoned at a church or convent, then adopted by Susan Pietr'Antonio of Pettorano. He left Pettorano at the age of 17 and emigrated to the United States, settling in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

He became a successful building contractor and sent money back home to Pettorano to help rebuild or restore one of the churches in town.

Many Pettorani came to the United States and found work with his company "E & F Construction Company". "E" is for Epiphano, "F" is for Frassinelli.

I would be very grateful for any information about his life or family (adopted or birth) in Pettorano.

I am trying to trace my heritage on my father's side. Rocco Iachini was born to Antonio and Anna Domenica Perfetta in Citta' San Angelo Province of Teramo December 17, 1895. He came to America in 1913. His parents remained in Citta' San Angelo. Rocco had two sisters; Adeline and Libreta. Libreta married a Duelinga, Adeline married a Cacciatore.According to various websites there are 481 listings for Iachini, in Italy. 18 in Pescara, 6 in Citta' San Angelo. After careful thinking, what is the possibility that due to communications back 100-200 years ago that there may be a relationship not identified? I am sure my father had uncles and cousins that he may not have seen often or not at all. The same applies to my grandfather Antonio. Did he have brothers, uncles, cousins, aunts or sisters? I have not found the secret about how to get into the depositories of information that may exist at this time. If anyone would be so kind as to nudge me in the general direction I am to go to find possible relatives, I would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou, ever so much. I am looking for any information about my grandparents, Dominic and Antoinetta ( Di Clemente) Di Paolantonio who came to AMerica in the early 1900's. Their name was translated into "Paul" and they resided in Brigeport, Pa. when they came here. I understand that they had 1 son born in Italy who came to the USA at a very young age, Angelo, who unfortunately has passed away.I am trying to find any relatives that might still be Italy. I know that Dominic had at least 1 sister and at least 2 brothers, one a lawyer and one a policeman. Antoinette had at least 1 brother. please contact me if you can be of any help.

My grandmother's parnets were from Castel Ieri, they came to the states in 1920, their names were Angela M. Blanvolini and Domenica Arquilla (he came to the states in 1908). They children that they had over there were Donato,Francesc,Giovanna and Anna (my grandmother). If anyone has any information on them or relatives, please let me know.
