I now know there are many more relatives from that side of the family still living there and a few other places. My grandmother, Virginia Esposito, was also supposed to be from Villamagna. My daughter has had the opportunity to visit there 3 times in the last 4 years and is doing a photo documentary of our Italian heritage. The members of my grandfathers family say they never heard of the Esposito name. I have done a little research on the net and found that name to be more related to other villages. Also, I read something on a site about meanings of surnames and for Esposito it essentially said it was like a general name given to children that were orphaned or ones without a father or something like that. I'm trying to find out the true origin of this name(like is it a real name or not). Most of my aunts and uncles are living still but always seem reluctant to give out information. I have been interested for many years in trying to sort out my Italian heritage and hoping next year to finally visit Villamagna(gotta get past the fear of flying first)and the Abruzzo region. Anyone have concrete info on the Esposito(I know it's a common name)name, it would be a start for us. Thank You

This is the last address on Michele, From a letter addressed to my Uncle Edward Ponda , Gary, Indiana (3) Vadini or Vadino,was my grandmothers maiden name.
