My father was born in Monacilione. My grandfather was born in 1852 and d 1919. My gf 1st wife was Benedetta diMonici, and after she passed, he m. my grandmother Grace Moffa 1870-1954. Filomena is on the branch below my gf, also Antonia, Angelo, Francesco, Nicola and Gaetana. My aunt Clara drew this family tree in 1982--5 generations. It's difficult to understand--goes back to Agostino Iosue and Giuseppina Dimonici. I can not find Mr. Eberhardt's e-mail address re: follow up message.

I am still hoping to receive e-mail from the following surnames that live in Collecorvino, Loreto Aprutino, Penne, Pescara, Rome or any surrounding village or cities. DiPanfilo, Fiucci,Perelli, Pacitti(a)? They all lived in the Abbruzza area near Pescara.
I was fortunate to be able to visit all of those places and and I did meet some Fiucci and DliPanfilo, but, I know very little Italian speech that I could not communicate as well as i should have and so there are a lot of unanswered question's about my parents and grandparents that were all born in Abbruzzo. Hoping to hear from someone.

I was sitting with my father tonite going over all the messages. My father Tommaso Racano, was born in Fresagradinaria in 1935. His mother's maiden name was Prassede Granata who was born in San Salvo in 1903. She has some relative still remaining in Italy.
My father emmigrated to Canada in 1957 and his mother and one sister eventually came to join him. He has one sister in France and another sister in Pescara, who retired from the Verona Sisters.
There are many immigrants from this regoin living in Winnipeg Canada and we are happy to see them.
My father has since been back to visit and was happy to see many of the people he grew up with. Both he and I would be pleased to hear from anyone and welcome your thoughts.

My great grand parents were Sabitine Lucente and Christina Deloretti on my grandmothers side. My great grandparents on my grandfathers side were Carmen Santarelli and Maria Donato. They were from Pratola Paligna. I am making my first trip to Italy September 10-19th. I am planning on staying an extra four days to visit the village. I would love to hear from any possible family members who may still live in area. My fiance is from Barrea and we plan to visit her town. Thank you and I enjoyed the site. Mille Grazie,

I was reading the message boards and found the surname Cicone from Pettorano sul Gizio and decided to check it out, since it is my mom's (Adelina) maiden name. All the names you've mentioned in your message describe my mom's family. Your grandmother Carmella was my grandfather's (Antonio) sister.
My mother was actually thinking of Zia Carmella this past week. She was sad that she hadn't seen her in many years and was wondering if she was still alive. I'm sorry to hear that she has passed. I would appreciate if you could let me know when she passed.
I will let my Mom know of the message. If you have any questions about your grandparents, please e-mail me and I will surely ask her for you. I hope to hear from you soon.
