I was born and grew up in Zurich, but I come from Catignano, Pescara and I get there once or even twice a year... my grandfather was alfredo felzani and he was called "dopo dopo" (later later)... when someone said to him "do this or do that" he just said "yes, i'll do it later" .... so my father, alfonso, is dopo dopo's son... and when I get to Catignano they call me the son of dopo dopo's alfonso... :o)

My father-in-law's grandparents (Michelangelo Caprara and Clara Angelucci) came from Lama dei Peligni and Fonterossi. Grandpa's house was blown up by the Germans because it blocked their view of the road into the town. Grandma's house is still standing. It has a wrought iron balcony and a fig tree in the back yard.
I am eternally in the debt of Tonino Caprara (via Monastario) for telling me about how life was under the Krauts, and how Indian troops liberated the people.
Any information you can provide about the years before World War II, during World War II, about Michelangelo Caprara, or Clara Angelucci or their parents is greatly appreciated. Parlo un pochino d'Italiano.
