Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 18:37:51 (US/EDT)I visited Italy in May 2006 and just loved it. I am looking forward to returning. My grandparents were from Castelvecchio Calvisio (Michael and Terenziana Paccini Viola). Michael was born July 11, 1878---the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Viola. Terenziana was born February 14, 1880---- the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erminio Paccini. They were married there on December 29, 1901.
I know that there are still Viola relatives in Castelvecchio Calvisio but I would like to know if there are any Paccini relatives there. The village is very small but I was wondering if there is any lodging there for visitors.
So, if you know of any Viola or Paccini relatives in Castelvecchio Calvisio or a place to stay there, I would love to hear from you.

Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 04:10:35 (US/EDT)I am looking for information about Luigi and Maria Morscaritolo. They were maybe from Florence (somewhere in Southern Italy). My great-grandfather, Luigi, had a heart attack and died, and my great-grandmother, Maria, lay down and died beside him - didn't want to live without him. It was in the papers then. Does anyone know the name Morscaritolo? I am trying to research it. When they arrived in Boston, they changed it to Morse (because Italians were not looked on too kindly then. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 02:48:11 (US/EDT)Ciao a Tutti! My name is Giuliana Falco. I am a first generation Italian-American. My parents; Lucia Della Rocca and Antonio Falco are from Torre dei Passeri. They are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this upcoming summer in Torre dei Passeri at the church in the piazza called, Santa Maria della Grazia. The priest that will be renewing their vows is the very same priest that blessed them 50 years ago! He is now in his 80's, but still remembers my parents because they were the special couple that he recalls sending off to live in America. Lucia and Antonio Falco created a home and family in Quincy, Massachusetts, where many friends and neighbors were also Italian immigrants from Abruzzo. They have four children: Tina, Giuliana, Lisa and Anthony and 15 grandchildren, as well! Each and every member of our family will be in Torre Dei Passeri this August 11th, 2007, to celebrate the Wedding Anniversary of Gold! We are looking forward to spending two glorious weeks in Torre Dei Paseri and we hope to share the joy and celebration with everyone there. Festegiamo tutti!

Sunday, April 01, 2007 at 02:43:34 (US/EDT)Hi Linda, I know that is 6 years later than your message, but just now I look this site, so I’m writing (and sorry by my english), because my name is Silvia Liberatore, like your grandmather. I think that our grandparents were close parentes, but I don’t have a large family tree. I’ll ask my relatives here and maybe – Wy not? – we will know each other soon. I lived in São Paulo (city) – Brasil - for almost all my life, but last year I’ve moved to Londrina, in Paraná State, next state of São Paulo. In Brasil we ar e all one single family Liberatore, but the old people fight for some reason, and the third generation didn’t know the other’s relatives. Did you see Silvia Liberatore in Rome? She looks a remarkable golf player. I’m so happy to find you. With my best regards,
São Paulo, São Paulo Brasil -
