Monday, May 19, 2008 at 02:22:48 (US/EDT)Hi everyone. Surname: TURSINI. I am searching for information on my grandfather's side of the family. His name was Mario Tursini, born in Capestrano. His father was Giovanni Tursini and his mother was Elena Dipaola. I don't think they were married. I believe Guiseppe Tursini was the father of Giovanni. Mario was put up for adoption and then an uncle named Umberto Tursini who was married to Anna took him in. This is all i know. Please, any info I would greatly appreciate.

Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 18:11:19 (US/EDT)I am putting together a family tree for my mother's and father's families. My maternal grandmother was from Roccaraso, Italy and her name was Giuseppa Ciccerone. She came to the U.S.A. in 1905 and married my grandfather Roberto Costantini from Colonella, Italy. He was the son of Pacifico Costantini who may have imigrated to New York also. Giuseppa (Josephine) and Roberto had 11 children and settled in Steubenville, Ohio. My paternal grandmother was Marianna Caslese (sp) from Ceccano, Italy and she married my grandfather Luigi Bucciarelli from Ceccano and they imigrated to the United States in 1912 with my father who was about 18 months old and his name was Umberto (Albert) Giusippe Bucciarelli. They settled first in Boliver, PA and moved to Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Anyone having information on other relatives in the U.S. or Italy for the above individuals - the information would be greatly appreciated.

Friday, May 09, 2008 at 20:06:59 (US/EDT)My grandfather, Charles Ciallella and my grandmother, Josephine nee D'Andrea came to the US in approximately 1905 from Roccamondolfi, Italy. They stayed in New Jersey with relatives (I know my grandfather had a sister in either Nutley or Belleville, N.J) then moved to Denver, then to Collinsville, Illinois where they lived most of their married lives. My family lived across the street from them and we grew up with a wonderful Italian ifluence. They had five children, Christine, Joseph, Jennie, Mary and Vera. The other family name that I can recall is Innamorato. Is anybody out there related to me? Or know anyone who might be. Would love to find you. Have never been to Italy, but one day...

Wednesday, May 07, 2008 at 11:45:37 (US/EDT)Ciao a tutti.

Tuesday, May 06, 2008 at 20:48:04 (US/EDT)I am planning a trip to Abruzzo to find out more about my family. Family names are Campilii and Ranalli. Both grandparents were from Pescara and settled in Wappingers Falls NY. Any tips on planning the trip, and does anyone have connections with either of these names?
