Ciao a tutti, Se credete di conoscermi, prego scrivetemi. Sono andato in America Octobre, 1935 arrivando a Nuova York eta cinque e mezzo. Sono divento blindati con la vista di graticelli li, stupende, miraviglosi. Addesso abito in Little Falls, New Jersey con la mia famiglia ed sono 81 anni. Have not been to Italy since the late 90's but spend three wonderful weeks there (all over) taking one week at the end of our tour to be ON OUROWN..this is when we went to Pettorano sul Gizio(small city outside of Sulmona)to look up relatives of my mom's. we did find a fist cousin of hers in Pettorano and spent many hours explaining as best we could about our family bond(my husband spoke Spanish) he was an Italian from Argentina. Both my parents were born in Pettorano ...but came to USA as children.
I tried to see the reigning prelate in the main church there but he was too busy talking to other people, so we did not waste time to wait and explored on our own .. we met some very helpful citizens of that town who told us where to find lodgings and good food (all food in Abruzzi is great!) we spent one week there exploring and on side trips. I keep a travel diary on every place we visit... and it is much pleasure for me to re read it now...ciao to all

My sister and I are researching the descendants of Salvatore DiRocco in Morro D'Oro. We know his daughter Maria Antonia married Nicola Mezzacappa and went to Philadelphia with their daughters in 1909. One of the daughters was our grandmother Anna Mezzacappa Pergolini. We know Eugenio DiRocca of Morro D'Oro who is now in his 80s but he does not recall much family history. If anyone knows other descendants of Salvatore we would like to hear from you.
Also, if anyone knows any other relatives of Nicola Mezzacappa, we would be happy to communicate.
Does anyone know if there are relatives of the Mezzacappa family of Morro D'Oro in Australia (where I now live after leaving USA in 81)?
