This typical Romanesque church dominates silently a square occupied by a beautiful fountain. In the lunette above the portal there is a statue of St. Peter, and on the two sides a pair of stone lions dating back to Roman times and brought here probably from nearby Amiternum.

On the left there is a peculiar octagonal belltower, very impressive from the inside. The interior consists of one aisle and is full of fine XV-century frescoes, one of which is a cycle describing the legend of St. George and the dragon with captions in vernacular.
