"I always feel that many of the Abruzzese who left Italy have lost contact and/or the desire to rekindle the relationships with their roots because of their new lives and commitments... Many are getting a little older, they are in their late fifties and sixties. At such an age many don't want to travel as in their youth. That is why I believe the Youth of today must carry forth the torch and ensure that our great heritage in Abruzzi is kept and maintained."
