Sulmona - Birthday wishes from two presidents for Antonino - Gli hanno scritto anche Chirac e Ciampi
Antonino Fabiani, born on 17 january 1899, received birthday wishes from Italian President Carlo Azelio Ciampi and French Jacques Chirac also, since Antonino distinguished himself in the battle of Bligny and received the French Medal. He's working some hours every day on his typewriter to tell the story of his life as a journalist, a resistance fighter, a manager at the Marconi's Radio Company in London, a shipowner during the Suez war.

Catignano - The Jubilee without St. Irene / Giubileo senza Santa Irene
The Abbey of Santa Maria in Catignano keeps the body of the Christian saint, for which reason it is a national monument. But nobody among all the people working on the religious itineraries remembered the precious presence.

Scanno - Tombolo art on show at Reggio Emilia / L'arte del tombolo alla mostra
Testimonials of Abruzzese crafts, some precious pieces of tombolo lace, created with hundreds of hours' work for queens and princesses, will be on show. The municipality of Scanno and the Fidia Sud group from Isernia have the aim to create jobs with the rediscovery of this ancient art, and to change it from a poor job into an economic resource for the territory.

Spoltore - Pork festival at Cavaticchi / A Cavaticchi la festa del maiale
Pig butchering is an ancient group tradition that will be repeated at fattoria Lazzarini. After killing the pig, the butchering procedures will follow as in times past, then famous typical dishes will be offered: the "ciffe-ciaffe", "ndocca-ndocca", "pizza 'nghi li sfriguli", "sagne e fagioli con le cotiche". Anthropology scientist Emiliano Giancristofaro, author of a recent essay "Porco bello" will attend.
