MESSAGGERO - Isola del Gran Sasso - Five thousand Alpini at San Gabriele / Raduno di cinquemila "penne nere" a San Gabriele, by Nicola Catenaro
Coming from all over Abruzzo, Marches and Latium, the black-feathered veterans gathered to lay flowers in memory of the Nikolajewka battle of 25 january 1943. The corps is strong, united, and believes in brotherhood. Says Orfeo Tassoni from Torricella Sicura: «It is important to meet in order not to forget, in order not to let wars happen any more. We want to work in the environment and in rescue operations".

IL CENTRO - - Exhibition of old cameras / Mostra della macchina fotografica
At the "Ritrovo del Parrozzo", viale Pepe, Pescara, Antonio Giammarino, a former professional photographer, has put on show over 500 cameras collected in the street markets and antique shops all over Europe, among them ancient wooden items, the earliest Polaroids and the mythical Nikon F, used in Michelangelo Antonioni's «Blow Up». The exhibition will be open until 29 February.

Popoli mayor Angelo Cafarelli, municipality counsellor Artemio La Ratta and restaurant owner Angela Lombardi will be guests of the popular program "Uno mattina" at 6.40, to speak about the town, its waters, crab and fish, and the future development expected in spa and tourism; they will also take a selection of typical products.
