A school contest for Ennio Flaiano / Un concorso nelle scuole, by Laura Valentini
Born in Pescara on 5 march 1910, Ennio Flaiano is one of the greatest literary critic of the XX century. For the 90th anniversary of his birth a contest in the school was organized. Works must be sent within 26 april. Edoardo Tiboni, the President of the Flaiano association, will launch today the Year 2000 edition of the renowned Flaiano Literary Prize, now in its 30th year.

Manoppello - A villa romana found / Una villa romana ritrovata, by Walter Teti
Some months ago a Roman villa was found in Piana di Santa Maria Arabona, Manoppello. Archelogical studies have now established this is the most relevant villa in the province of Pescara. Four locals have already been excavated, as well as a big cisterna. The floor of one of the rooms is dated to the I century BC. Another local has a black and white mosaic floor. Findings will be brought to the soon to be established civic museum in Manoppello.
