4 March/marzo 2000 MESSAGGERO - Teramo yesterday and today / Teramo ieri e oggi Old photos show "botteghe" in piazza Grande, now piazza Martiri della Libertà. In the 1930's the houses around the cathedral were demolished. Historian Fernando Aurini says the piazza was Teramo's heart.
