Teramo yesterday and today / Teramo ieri e oggi
Old photos show "botteghe" in piazza Grande, now piazza Martiri della Libertà. In the 1930's the houses around the cathedral were demolished. Historian Fernando Aurini says the piazza was Teramo's heart. Now there are no more band concerts and events, and all the 27 shops and cafes are gone.
