MESSAGGERO - Pescina - Silone's archive is donated to Pescina / L’archivio di Silone torna a Pescina

Darina Silone, the writer's widow, donated her husband's archive to his native place on the occasion of Silone's birth centennial. In the celebrations for the writer also many international guests Eileen Millar from the University of Glasgow, Maria Paynter from Hunter College, New York, Yukari Saito the Japanese translator.

MESSAGGERO - Poggio Picenze - A bank employee patents an aeromobile / Bancario di Poggio Picenze brevetta aeromobile, by Marcello Ianni

Pietro Giovanni Manilla invented a disc-shaped helicopter with 10 blades, five rotating in one direction and the other five in the opposite, and two reactors. The blades move the aeromobile vertically, the reactors horizontally, allowing a great freedom of movements. The inventor is waiting for finacial aid to produce his prototype

IL CENTRO - - Pianella - Enogastronomical meeting / Primo meeting gastronomico

The first edition of "I sapori di Plenilia", a regional gastronomic event, will take place in Pianella on Monday at restaurant «Lu piatte calle». Each contestant will have to prepare a soup or pasta first course and a dessert for at least 50 people, accompanied by proper wines and liquors of the region.
