Ortona - The Tosti Ensemble to Australia / Trasferta australiana

From today to June 6 the Tosti Ensemble will give eight concerts in Sidney, Camberra, Hobart (Tasmania) Melbourne and Wollongong with the contribution of the Italian Embassy, the Camberra International Chamber Music Festival, the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, Melba Hall and Barossa Arts and Convention Center of Adelaide. The Tosti Ensemble will also appear in educational institutions.

Scanno - Town of lace / Città dei merletti
A national association was founded to promote this ancient tradition and art, by Scanno, Assisi, Brisighella, Serravalle Pistoiese, Isernia and Sutrio. The association has started contacts with designers of house material and apparel manufacturers. In Scanno the municipality hopes in possible jobs for the women who kept this great tradition alive.

Brittoli - nonna Anna is 100 years old / Nonna Anna compie 100 anni

The whole village will take part to the birthday party for nonna Anna, the first citizen to turn the century threshold. Anna Michela Finocchio lives in contrada Cona and was always a housewife and farmer with late husband Sabatino. Children Giuseppe, Luciano and Nicoletta, six grandchilren and nine great-grandchildren, along with mayor Di Paolo, will work to make the day unforgettable. Her secret: long walks.

Furci - A child with his g-g-grandmother / Bimbo con la trisnonna
Angelo Spagnoli, born on 5 may 2000 to Domenico and Annalisa Mastroberardino, is the only child in the province of Chieti to have a grandmother (Nicoletta Giuliani, just over 40) , a great-grandmother (Natalina Maria Troiano, 67) and a great-great-grandmother (Annina Giancaterina, 94).

Vasto - Boat parade for the harbor's patrons / Corteo di barche per festeggiare i patroni del porto
Great celebrations tomorrow for Madonna di Penna Luce (or Punta Penna) and San Nicola, patron saints of mariners. Fishermen always say a prayer to them before setting out. Dozens of boats are expected from all nearby harbors for the procession, opened by two large fishing boats carrying the statues of the Virgin Mary and San Nicola to the church of Punta Penna for the Mass.
