L'Aquila - Exhibition of Neapolitan painters / La Scuola napoletana del secondo '800
in mostra, by Grazia Felli
Until May 28 in the Museo nazionale d'Abruzzo an exhibition with works of the painters of the Neapolitan School of the latter half of the 19th century. The School was influenced by Giuseppe Palizzi and his contacts with the "en plein air" trend in Paris giving rise to the "Verismo meridionale" based on the observation of reality and historical verisimilitude. Artists on show: Domenico Morelli, Michele Cammarano, Bernardo Celentano, Francesco Lojacono, Antonio Mancini, Francesco Netti, Gioacchino Toma, Teofilo Patini.

Manoppello - 3rd national motorcycle meeting / Terzo motoraduno nazionale
300 motorcycle riders from all over Italy attended the spring motorcycle meeting in San Giovanni Teatino to ride together to the Volto Santo, Manoppello for the jubilee mass and then to Bolognano, where in the winery of Marcello Zaccagnini they could appreciate the taste of local wines.
