Giuliano Zaccardelli, 53, born in Prezza, is at the head of the Canadian Federal Police. Some months ago he was appointed vice, and now head of the Redcoats. Giuliano's appointment is a great achievement for Italians in Canada. His father Mario left Prezza when Giuliano was only 2-3 years old. Giuliano is now the loyal subject of another country, which he loves deeply as his emigrant father taught him.

Lanciano - Festival of the bells / Torna oggi la festa delle campanelle
The traditional festivity of Sant'Egidio, cancelled on 31 August for a thunderstorm, is to be held today. Stalls and "bancarelle" in the streets, and of course the celebrated "bells", symbols of peace, in different forms and sizes.
