Scafa - The Caracciolo wine is back / Rinasce il vino dei nobili Caracciolo, by Lorenzo Colantonio
It seems blue-eyed Duke Giuseppe Antonio Caracciolo is still caring, 150 years later. His great-grandson, Armando Franceschelli, is the new manager of the renowned winery and was able to save the brand name "Duchi di Castelluccio". The wine is not available in supermarkets and stores, but only in wine-shops and restaurants.

Guardiagrele - "Art in Abruzzo" exhibition / "L'arte in Abruzzo"
Paintings by Giuseppe Di Prinzio, Nino Gagliardi and Alfredo Del Greco will be on show in via Cavalieri, Guardiagrele, 17 to 20 hours until 22 october.

Newton Compton publishers have made a reprint of "Tradizioni popolari d'Abruzzo", by Emiliano Giancristofaro (pages 352, lire 32,000), with fine ancient pictures and "La cucina abruzzese", by Alessandro Molinari Pradelli (pages 480, lire 35,000), a true encyclopedia of Abruzzese cuisine.
