IL CENTRO - - L'Aquila - Roman ruins found below San Domenico / Segni d'antiche civiltà sotto l'ex carcere, by Angela Baglioni
In San Domenico, former prison, Roman remains and a fine cloister. From a prison the building will be transformed into a cultural center. Below the courtyard 3 ancient arches have been found, and a water tank, possibly very ancient, which will prove the existence of Roman settlements before the official foundation of the city in the 13th century.

IL CENTRO - - Pescara - In the south docks ancient Roman harbor found / Riemerge l'antico porto romano
The most important archeological discovery in Pescara so far: traces of the dock of "Ostia Aterni", the Roman harbor quoted in documents, connecting Abruzzo to the Mediterranean sea. 100 years BC geographer Strabo called Ostia Aterni the most important port of the Vestini, Marrucini and Peligni.
