Villa Gemma wines to accompany panarda for a simulation of the Christmas Eve dinner. In the gastronomy fair of Slow Food, in Turin, from noon yesterday a panarda marathon (135 dishes). Bookings for 125 people, some fixed since last May. 20 cooks to represent 14 restaurants of the region. Antonio Stanziani, from Villa Santa Maria, was the "Maestro di Panarda". The history of the panarda goes back to Collelongo, Marsica, when boiled broad beans were offered to goddess Ceres to have her favours for the harvest. Now the banquet is repeated on 17 January, the day of St. Anthony the Abbot.

Sulmona - 125th anniversary for the railway line / Festa per i 125 anni della Sulmona-L'Aquila
Yesterday a 1920 steam locomotive, restored in the railway garages, left Sulmona at 9 stopping at Pratola Peligna, Raiano, Molina Aterno, Acciano, Beffi, Tione, Fontecchio, Fagnano, San Demetrio, Paganica and L'Aquila. In 1875 the line Sulmona - Molina was inaugurated

Civitella Casanova - A miniature Abruzzo at Vestea / Sto costruendo a Vestea l'Abruzzo in miniatura, by Antonio Di Clemente
Umberto D'Angelo, born in Vestea 68 years ago, was an emigrant for long years. His dream is to build on his land, in Vestea, a representation of Abruzzo. Each beam represents a family from Vestea and a municipality of Abruzzo. 32 olive trees will each represent a trade.
