Villa Gemma wines to accompany panarda for a simulation of the Christmas Eve dinner. In the gastronomy fair of Slow Food, in Turin, from noon yesterday a panarda marathon (135 dishes). Bookings for 125 people, some fixed since last May. 20 cooks to represent 14 restaurants of the region. Antonio Stanziani, from Villa Santa Maria, was the "Maestro di Panarda". The history of the panarda goes back to Collelongo, Marsica, when boiled broad beans were offered to goddess Ceres to have her favours for the harvest. Now the banquet is repeated on 17 January, the day of St. Anthony the Abbot.

Umberto D'Angelo, born in Vestea 68 years ago, was an emigrant for long years. His dream is to build on his land, in Vestea, a representation of Abruzzo. Each beam represents a family from Vestea and a municipality of Abruzzo. 32 olive trees will each represent a trade.
