UK - "Italia & Italy" from Paratore to Tosti / Da Paratore a Tosti
The Italian Culture Institute for Scotland and Northern Ireland just published a new issue of Italia & Italy. Articles on Attilio Bertolucci, Peter Brand and Cesare Pavese, on Art and design, on Gianni Vattimo, Pier Paolo Pasolini and also an article by Francesco Sanvitale, on Francesco Paolo Tosti in Victorian England and on the great Latin scholar Ettore Paratore, of Abruzzese origin.

Torino di Sangro - A letter to the father she never met / Scrive una lettera al padre mai conosciuto, by Francesco Flamminio
She was only one year old when her father died in the war in 1943 and was buried in the English cemetery near Torino di Sangro with other 2619 allied soldiers. The 58-year-old lady came to Italy and left a letter on the tomb, a letter which the wind took away. Then prof. Nino Battistella found it, had it plastified and put back in place. The English cemetery is visited by many each year.

Milano - An exhibition on D'Annunzio / Una mostra sulla creatività del Pescarese
From 9 november to 4 march 2001 an exhibition in Milan will try to reconstruct D'Annunzio's relation with modernity. The pescarese poet started a fashion called dannunzianesimo, an imitation of his style and behaviour, his passions for women, sport, automobiles and aeroplanes. In a special section also 834 volumes from the Sorge House, near Nereto.
