Adopt an Abruzzese lamb to preserve a 2000-year-old pastoral tradition. Anversa degli Abruzzi, 290 inhabitants, 40,000 sheep. Manuela Cozzi, originary from Tuscany, has with her husband an agritour center with 1300 sheep kept on the pastures of juniper, mint, finocchiella, and
origano of Monte Cocullo. The sheep in Abruzzo are 350,000 now, down from 3 million in the early 20th century. Manuela's idea was greatly appreciated in the United Nations as a form of safeguarding the agrarian and pastoral cultures in the globalization era.

The death of lawyer Luigi Russo, 76, left a great emptiness in the family, friends and the whole town. His efforts helped re-establish the Mastrogiurato historical re-enactement.

Fossa - Ancient stone calendar found / Un antico calendario di pietra, by Angela Baglioni
In the November issue of American "Archeology Magazine" an article on Fossa "menhirs". The stone giants could have been calendars based on the shadow of the monument; of interest also the heap tombs, typical of pre-Roman times, and the more recent chamber tombs with beds in bone and ivory (250 beds found so far) which suggest the presence of a bed manufacture possibly in Aveia.
