MESSAGGERO - Pescara - Giusy Fiucci researcher in New York / Giusy Fiucci, giovane medico pescarese, è ricercatrice a New York, by Dom Serafini
After working in Cambridge (UK), Washington and Tel Aviv, Giusy Fiucci is now on a cancer research project in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Usa. While studying in Rome, she met Nobel Prize Rita Levi Montalcini. Giusy often comes back to visit her parents and sister in Francavilla.

Excavations will be made under the piazza San Vitale, which will shed light on the history of San Salvo, up to now believed to have risen around a Benedictine monastery in the early Middle Ages. The discovery of the Roman constructions points to the existence of the settlement as possibly a Roman harbor along the river Trigno.
