7th edition of the Giostra, to be held in Piazza Maggiore on 29 July, before then in July the Palio of the Contrade and the visits to the ancient Borghi and Sestieri organized by the Archeoclub Italia, section Sulmona. One week later second edition of the Giostra d'Europa.

Hermit Pietro da Morrone, made later Pope as Celestino V, is among the most celebrated figures in Abruzzo. A new book by Father Quirino Salomone of the Centro Celestiniano, L'Aquila is entitled «Celestino della gente» and deals widely also with the Perdonanza.

The fanfara of retired bersaglieri d'Abruzzo, directed by Maestro Leone Cameli, will tour Hungary for the Razene Rakosmenti Zenebaratok Egysvelete, in Budapest, 13 to 20 march. They are also scheduled to appear in New York on the next Columbus day, and will then give concerts in Central Park, Brooklin, New Jersey and other places.
