One of the most popular restaurants in New York, "Il Mulino/Aquila" is Abruzzese. Opened 20 years ago by Fernando Masci, now 57, helped by his brother Gino, and Fernando's wife Colomba. Bookings necessary two weeks before, only 300 meals served every day, favourite menus: pasta alla chitarra, brodetto, lamb, and the "fettuccine allo zafferano". The two brothers often come back to L'Aquila to visit their mother.
