Emigration to Argentina / Emigrazione, tanti scelsero l'Argentina

We all know from experience that between 1870 and 1970 two out of three inhabitants of the Province of L'Aquila emigrated, but so mch is still to discover. A university research project will now deal specifically with emigration to Argentina in cooperation with professors José Moreno and Maria Cristina
Cacopardo of the Universidad de Luján (Buenos Aires), with the aim to analyze the area of origin, and the economic impact of the wealth sent back to Abruzzo. results will be presented at the International Congress to be held in Buenos Aires in July 2002.
