Orsogna - Victor's tragic story / La favola spezzata di Victor, by Mario Giancristofaro and Dom Serafini
Victor Saraceni, the pilot of American Airlines Boeing 767 which was hijacked against the first of the Twin Towers, left Orsogna at 16 years of age, after his father Rocco had died, with his mother and brother Giuseppe. He was among the best pilots of American Airlines. The shock in Orsogna was renewed, after another victim, Vincenzo Trentini, one of the passengers of that same jet, was also identified as having origins from Orsogna.

Roccaspinalveti - Nonna Zelinda turns one hundred / Festa in paese per i 100 anni di nonna Zelinda
Zelinda Piccirilli turns 100 years old, and among the guests there is her older sister, Sofia. In their family two other sisters passed away at 95 and 99. In Roccaspinalveti, placed at over 2,500 ft, there are many over-90's.
