From tonight to 10 october celebrations for the patron of Pescara; on 6 oct. a boat race, the "Palio San Cetteo"; on the 7th in a piazza Garibaldi exhibition of Scanno folk choir; on the 10th final celebration in the Cathedral, procession and fireworks.

Conclusion last Sunday of the 27th edition of the Montonico Wine festival with over 20,000 visitors. Wineries open, and a picturesque waggon parade, as well as art exhibitions and theatrical performances.

All the town was awake last night to the strange laments which made them think a bear was wandering in the vicinity. Instead it was a solitary male deer desperately looking for a companion, from the mountain hovering Pettorano.

Cugnoli - Village square named "11 settembre 2001" / Piazza "11 settembre 2001" intitolata alle 6 mila vittime
The municipality council voted to name the new village square in commemoration of the over 6000 victims of New York. This is the first square in Italy to have this name. A special monument will be made for the square, as a testimonial against hate and terror.
