The celebrations in honor of the Madonna Incoronata whose feast will be held next Saturday and Sunday, just started. An event which is greatly heartfelt by the inhabitants of Vasto, whose devotion toward the Madonna is deep. At 16 hours, the day before yesterday, the image of the Virgin Mary departed from the sanctuary in the Incoronata district and, after parading through the streets of the city, reached the cathedral of San Giuseppe.
Al via le celebrazioni in onore della Madonna Incoronata, la cui festa si terrà sabato e domenica prossima. Una ricorrenza molto sentita dai vastesi la cui devozione verso la Madonna è assai viva. Nel pomeriggio dell’altro ieri, alle 16, l’immagine delle Vergine è partita dal Santuario di contrada Incoronata e, dopo aver sfilato per le vie della città, è arrivata alla Cattedrale di San Giuseppe

Avezzano - In mostra le meraviglie di Alba Fucens / An exhibition on the wonders of Alba Fucens
The exhibition, that tomorrow will be opened to the public, documents the circumstances of this half century of excavations but, above all, offers, against a scenario reconstructing the suggestion of the places and of the origin environment, the extraordinary discoveries inside the cyclopean walls of the ancient Roman city, disappeared for thousands of years under a thick blanket of terrain.
La mostra, che sarà aperta al pubblico da domani, documenta le vicende di questo mezzo secolo di scavi ma, soprattutto, offre, in una scenografia che richiama la suggestione dei luoghi e degli ambienti di origine, gli straordinari reperti ritrovati all interno delle ciclopiche mura dell'antica città romana scomparsa sotto una enorme coltre di terra.

Popoli - Festa grande per il Castello / Great feast for the castle, by Walter Teti
A long procession of warriors, drummers and flag-wavers left from the Palazzo Ducale yesterday, starting the inauguration ceremony of the new lighing system of the Cantelmo Castle of Popoli. In the town square the flag-wavers gave the best of themselves, while the warriors staged military performances to the rhythm of drums.
Un lungo corteo di armigeri, tamburini e sbandieratori, partito dal palazzo ducale, ha dato l'avvio ieri alla cerimonia di inaugurazione dell'impianto di illuminazione del Castello dei Cantelmo di Popoli. In piazza gli sbandieratori hanno dato il meglio di sé, mentre gli armigeri si producevano in evoluzioni militaresche al ritmo dei tamburi.
