IL CENTRO - - Kertész, from the Flaiano Prize to the Nobel / Dal Premio Flaiano al Nobel The Nobel Prize for literature was awarded yesterday to hungarian Imre Kertész «for his work placing the individual's fragile experience against the horrors of history». Kertész, 73 years old, an Auschwitz survivor, in 2001 had won a special Flaiano prize in Pescara. His Italian publisher, Feltrinelli, translated three years ago «Essere senza destino» which was awarded the Flaiano prize. This is the third time (after Irish Seamus Heaney and Portuguese José Saramago) that a Flaiano winner is awarded also the Nobel. Il Premio Nobel per la letteratura è stato attribuito ieri all'ungherese Imre Kertész «per un'opera che pone l'esperienza fragile dell'individuo contro l'arbitraria barbarie della storia». Kertész, 73 anni, sopravvissuto di Auschwitz, ha vinto nel 2001 un premio speciale nell'ambito del Flaiano a Pescara. Di Kertész la casa editrice italiana, Feltrinelli, ha pubblicato tre anni fa «Essere senza destino» col quale lo scrittore ha ricevuto il Flaiano. E' la terza volta in sette anni (dopo l'irlandese Seamus Heaney e il portoghese José Saramago) che uno scrittore già premiato con il Flaiano vince il Nobel.
