Fourth edition of the street market fair in Pescara. Great business for restaurants, pubs and pizzerias. Via Firenze, corso Umberto, via Fabrizi and via Venezia closed to the traffic. On show merchandise of any kind, 300 merchants from all over Italy: food, houseware, clothes, footwear, toys, tattoo stands, taroc readers. A good idea to fight the hypermarkets and discount stores.

PESCASSEROLI - Well-known writer Dacia Maraini, holidaying in the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, discovered a cruel episode last morning while walking among the "Colli nascosti": a big black dog had been tortured and hung to a tree. She was petrified at the sight, also thinking of all the organization needed to capture the dog and hang it. The episode has been denounced and is under investigation.

SAN PIO DELLE CAMERE. Cultural Association «Nuova acropoli» has organized for the last week in August a nature campus with the help of the Civil Protection service, l'Aquila Aeroclub, the Municipality of Comune di San Pio delle Camere and the Regional department for the Parks. The schedule: four days' excursions, one in each of the parks, under the guidance of experts. Then meetings with specialists from various areas, and special lessons in fire prevention.

BISENTI. 3000 for the XXI edition of the pilgrimage from the Fino valley to San Gabriele's Sanctuary in Isola del Gran Sasso. Five mayors present on the road, prayers, water and coffee along the path. At the arrival the group was blessed by a Father of the congregation, and a mass was celebrated by Father Nike. Then home, by car this time.
