IL CENTRO - While sipping beer, the artist from Modena speaks of music, politics, songs and lifestyles «Fante? A romantic loser» - Interview with Vinicio Capossela, one of the great fans of the American writer / Tra un sorso di birra e l'altro, l'artista modenese parla di musica, politica, canzoni d'autore e stili di vita «Fante? Un romantico perdente» - Incontro con Vinicio Capossela, grande fan dello scrittore by Tiziana Testa
CUPELLO. Vinicio Capossela is getting ready for the last concert of Musica pellegrina in Cammini europei. He speaks of John Fante, the American writer of Abruzzese origin he loves so much, and whose relatives in Torricella Peligna he met some time ago. He likes Fante for his humor, his romanticism. His Abruzzese heritage is only visible in the relationship with his family. Capossela too is a son of emigrants «I was born in Germany, but the emigrants on wheel return. Emigration by ship is final». Both his tour and Cd are called «Liveinvolvo», and most songs deal with the night; his characters resentful, his music a mix of styles. He worked with Kocani Orkestar from Macedonia and is anarchic in politics, his favourite artists are Glenn Gould, Vittorio De Sica and Domenico Modugno, his passion is for the lyrics "I am a collector of abandoned things".
