The XII° edition of the International Comic Theatre closed yesterday with the show of the Cavalli Marci, 10 wonderfully talented Genoese performers, wearing T-shirts with the WWF message against the third tunnel under the Gran Sasso. Five thousand tickets sold, though the accounts are still in the red.

On 3, 4 and 5 September a very unusual joint festival: films and documentaries, with themes connected to wine and wine-making. Featured "By Night" by Stanley Tucci and "La cena" by Ettore
Scola, and other short documentaries.

MARTINSICURO - For six months they had been trying their luck at the Superenalotto. Yesterday they won 53 million Lire and one, 78 years old, has already left for the Red Sea. Their lotto shop seems very lucky. Last 15 July a roman tourist won 200 million.

III edition of "Ciochenoncé", 70 artists from all over Italy painting corners and sights of Avezzano. Present also young students from the Art institutes in Avezzano, Pescara and Castelli. Funds have been collected for the Anfas (Associazione nazionale fanciulli e adulti sub normali).

So many visitors are the result of the intelligent promotion campaign of «Progetto Stiffe» company, which sent brochures and letters to hotels, campings, tourist agents, and distributed promotional tickets at museums and other events.

The municipality obtained a fund of 1,750 million Lire to buy and restore Palazzo Crescenzi. It will finally host a library, conference room, and activities connected to Vestine culture.
