Lucio Angelo Renna is the new bishop for the Marsian diocesis. The important consecration was attended by Region President Antonio Falconio and all the mayors of the area, as well as a large crowd of faithful and priests. In his first speech Bishop Lucio Renna stressed the importance for a community to work for the youth and the needy.

Antonio B., a 73-year-old vastese pensioner, told the surgeons an incredible story: a former emigrant, he underwent urgent surgery last Saturday tor terrible pains in the abdomen: in his stomach pieces of a rope usually used to hang the laundry. He says his relatives changed his bowels into ropes with witchcraft.

The Cetrullo saga, like a novel - The founder's grandson tells the story / LA STORIA - La saga dei Cetrullo - Come un romanzo la storia della fornace - Giuseppe il nipote del fondatore racconta: "Tutto iniziò nel '37..."
With his favourite horse grandfather Ercole Cetrullo carried salt from the harbor to the deposit. In 1937 he decided with brother Pasquale to buy the "Fabbrica di laterizi e prodotti ceramici" in Castellamare Adriatico, a 4,000 square meters structure. Hard work since then, 100 employees, always a smile on his face, the first to come and the last to leave the workplace. The furnace was shut down in 1973 and finally demolished in 1980. Don Ercole used to say "one generation build, another keeps, the following destroys».

A large crowd for the event on a wonderful, sunny day. Bacchus (alias Roberto Ruggieri) and fascinating companion (Manuela Gianvito) opened the parade on a waggon drawn by oxen (from Atri). The public voted for the best waggon. Great imagination in all the waggons.
