Lanciano - The Eucharistic Miracle returns to the restored church / Il Miracolo ritorna nella chiesa

The Chiesa di San Francesco has preserved since the 8th century the precious relic, a Eucharist that at Mass really changed into blood and flesh to convince a dubious monk. While the church was under restoration the relic was kept in the church of Santa Lucia. For the occasion a Congress with all the bishops of Abruzzo and Molise in the cathedral, open to all the faithful.

For a week now at dusk «Bubu» leaves Le Quite wood, crosses the Sangro river and eats the apples from a tree near a pub, then by night walks along the village streets. The bear is young, 3 or 4 years old. The Marsian bear is surely peaceful, since time immemorial the only aggressions to man were in self defence or to protect the cubs. Instructions for a close encounter: be quiet, leave the bear enough room to get away, if the animal attacks throw some piece of clothes towards it to attract its attention, climb a tree to at least 4 mt from the ground, as a last resort take a nested position to protect head and stomach and pretend you are dead.
