MESSAGGERO - New restored bells for St Anna inaugurated with a concert / Nuove campane - Sant’Anna festeggia il restauro con un concerto
The Jubilee bell was solemnly blessed yesterday by Archbishop Menichelli: this will toll an "E" note, while the other three bells already on the belltower toll three different notes each. Soon also the restoration of the facade will be accomplished. Chieti has a great tradition in sacred art: a Museum Diocesano is under construction and at the Archeological Museum there is an important exhibition devoted to Padre Pio and Santa Rita.

D'Attilio, native of Molise but domiciled in Pescara walked 8 hours a day, 191 days, and rested only for three days. With his sun-burned face, 7 kg thinner than when he started, he remembers when he arrived at Città Reale (province of Rieti) with his two fellow walkers and the local people (150 in all) offered them a meal. Gianni's love for the mountains began when he was 8 and had to walk from Roccaraso, destroyed by bombings, to Lucito in Molise, his native place. His wife, who met hit at the arrival, says: «He would have walked on if I had not gone to meet him».
