SULMONA - A festival of comic movies / Un festival di film comici, by Antonio MAncini
17th edition of "Sulmona Cinema" inaugurated yesterday. Director Paolo D'Amato says this edition will be devoted to laughter, starting with Italian comic actors Alberto Sordi and Carlo Verdone.
Films will be shown also in Popoli, Pratola Peligna and Castel di Sangro.

3rd edition of "Riscopriamo Roseto" prize award, among the winners 9th graders of Roseto Liceo, form 2ĒD Igea, Scuola Media Romani and Scuola Media D'Annunzio, as well as two theses by Neapolitan Pina Piscopo, ("Demografia ed economia in un comune dell'Abruzzo teramano a metā del Settecento: Montepagano nei dati del catasto onciario (1752-1754)", and Alessandra Quaranta from Roseto ("Caratteristiche e comportamento delle cinte murarie della vallata del Vomano. Il caso di Montepagano")

A really self-made artist, from apprentice to professional and master. He started at 9 in 1936 and was an apprentice for 13 years, then opened his own shop in Tocco da Casauria, and moved to New York as Master hair stylist in the Fifth Avenue, collecting in his long career a great many awards and acknowledgenets, until finally he received this year the gold medal of the Chamber of Commerce
