Yesterday in the pubs of Pescara Vecchia people were tasting the "novello" wine from Tollo with roasted chestnuts. Today the members of the Abruzzese Onav (Organizzazione nazionale assaggiatori di vini) will meet at the ristorante Alessandra, Alanno, for a choice of 1999 wines. On Thursday a wine-tasting day at hotel Montinope, Pianella, to choose the best "Novello d’Abruzzo". Next Sunday, in piazza Salotto, Pescara, a wine feast with free wine-tasting, folk music, clowns.

More archaeological findings at Santa Maria Arabona: a large Roman villa with three wonderful mosaics. Local farmers often discover small relics in their fields. It is possible all the area around Colle Arabona hides a large Roman military settlement. The municipality of Manoppello has a project for an archaeological museum to be hosted in an ancient building.
