MESSAGGERO - An EEC project will join the Aquilan Province, Apulia, Austria, Spain and Hungary on an itinerary of European castles / Il progetto Credit interesserà l'Aquilano e la Puglia, oltre ad Austria, Spagna, Ungheria - L'Europa sceglie i castelli abruzzesi
The "Credit" (Castel road european development in team) project has chosen the castles in the Aquilan territory and in San Vito dei Normanni, Apulia, to study the cultural and economic aspects connected to the presence of castles in the chosen areas.

IL CENTRO - GESSOPALENA - Nonna Maria turns one hundred / Nonna Maria oggi festeggia i cento anni Gessopalena, festa e una targa ricordo con sindaco e anziani
Maria Vincenza Turchi was born in 1899 in contrada Pastini, she married Pietro Mattoso, who passed away 12 years ago, and her mind is still perfect, though she is in bed assisted by her daughter Carmela. She has two more daughters and a son. Today the elderly people with mayor Domenico Manzi will have a party in her honor, and she will be visited by grandson Nicola Turchi from the USA. A great dinner today at Torricella with 100 candles.

The 17th-century Oratorio of the Madonna della Croce, Pietranico, closed for over a year for a badly needed recovery of the frescoes by unknown artists, will be again a favourite destination of art lovers, since it is one of the most perfect examples of Baroque art. Madonna della Croce rises on a hill among green pinewoods, on the site called La Croce where the Virgin Mary appeared on 25 March 1613 to a humble peasant.
