MESSAGGERO - SULMONA - Sulmonacinema festival grows and wants to start with movie production / Cresce la manifestazione peligna: nel 2000 si occuperà stabilmente di produzione - Sulmonacinema, un festival-gioiello, by Sante Iavarone
The Festival dedicated this year to the young Italian comic movie awarded the first prize to Gabriele Muccino's "Nessuno mai come te", starring the director's younger brother Silvio. Best actress Lorenza Indovina, starring in "Un amore" directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli. The originality of Sulmonacinema is in its jury of young cinema students, completely uncorrupted by the crisis of bigger film festivals.

IL CENTRO - FOSSA - Guided tour at the necropolis / Necropoli di Fossa - Un successo la visita guidata
Archaeologist Dario Mangolini guided 50 people yesterday through the secrets and the discoveries of the proto-historic necropolis during a sunny interval in a bad weather week. All the findings are taken to the museum in Celano for restoration. Most interesting the funerary monuments found in the most ancient male tombs, so similar to British «menhirs». Some of the items will be on show at Frankfurt within the Piceni exhibition next December.

IL CENTRO - ISOLA DEL GRAN SASSO - The urn with San Gabriele's remains to Molise and Liguria / L'urna del santo sarà esposta in Molise e Liguria - San Gabriele in tournée
In the next weeks San Gabriele dell'Addolorata will leave his sanctuary to visit Isernia and Miranda, Molise, in a religious preparation of the faithfuls for the Jubilee Year, then from 2 to 5 december will be in Ventimiglia-Sanremo (Imperia), where thousands of Abruzzese emigrants will pray their patron from near. Last step in the pilgrimage Villa Rosa di Martinsicuro, where a new big church was inaugurated last September in the name of the beloved Abruzzese saint.
