The Capestrano Warrior Superstar in Frankfurt, Germany / Il Guerriero di Capestrano superstar a Francoforte
The unmistakable stone profile appears among the skyscrapers of Europe's economic capital. The Piceni exhibition (cost: 3 billion Lire) was inaugurated yesterday at the Schirn Kunsthalle, and greatly admired by the German hosts. The presentation was made by Giovanni Colonna, the president of the scientific committee, and by editor Luisa Franchi dell'Orto. It is the first time the Warrior goes abroad, to meet the head of the Numana Warrior and the twin Hirschlanden and Glauberg warriors created by Piceni craftsmen about 1000 B.C. when the Piceni on their ships reached also the heart of central Europe.

Eighty works of art inspired to the Nativity at Pescara station / La Natività in ottanta opere d'arte - Successo dei presepi alla stazione
Glass, buttons, salt paste, wroughtiron, terracotta, and still more material in the 80 cribs on show in Pescara railway station. The exhibition, now in its third year, will be open until january 6. The crib masters are not only craftsmen, but also retired teachers and professionals. Among the most beautiful the nativities in stained glass.

INTRODACQUA - Everyone in town invited to celebrate zia Carmela's 100th birthday / Tutta Introdacqua ha festeggiato i 100 anni di zia Carmela
Carmela Giuliani, the oldest citizen in Introdacqua, was born on 4 december 1899. For her birthday party she invited 150 friends to a restaurant. Carmela has two daughters, 65 and 78, one in America, and 6 grandchildren, and is still doing everything by herself, sewing, cleaning and cooking.

The regional competition will take place tomorrow night at the hotel Leucò, Martinsicuro. Competitors can choose among the following dishes: a broth, a first or a second course based on either fish or meat, or a dessert, matching a right wine, liquor and other regional products.
