From altitudes above 600 mt all Abruzzo is under the snow, which has covered also Pescara and other Adriatic centres. Ice on the highways, queues and accidents. At Caramanico 45 cm snow, which, carried by the wind, has in certain places heaped to 100 cm. Snowfalls on the Vastese area: Schiavi d'Abruzzo,
Castiglione Messer Marino, Roccaspinalveti, Atessa, Palena, Torricella. In the Aquilan province problems in Sulmona, Scanno, Roccaraso. Throughout the night snow went on falling on Atri, where schools closed two days earlier.

Roseto - The municipality encourages to adopt a grandparent for the holidays / Solidarietà verso gli anziani - Iniziativa del Comune: «Per le feste adotta un "nonno"»
The municipality would like to make people aware of the loneliness of so many elderly people. Already 30 families have invited an elderly person to spend the holidays with them. Another beautiful idea is to accept in the family the children who are for many reasons alone and entrusted to the municipality. The families who accept a child or minor will have 50% expenses paid by the Region.

CARAMANICO - Snowplows and schools shut in the mountains / In montagna spazzaneve all'opera - La neve fa chiudere le scuole
Mayor Giustino Sanelli ordered schools to be closed in Caramanico, Sant'Eufemia a Majella and Salle, because of the difficulties of road transit. At Sant'Eufemia and Caramanico snowfall was 60 cm. Domenico Di Nardo, Sant'Eufemia mayor, says the roads have been now freed, but circulation is still difficult, because of the ice. In contrada Decontra a paradise is ready for cross-country skiers and excursion lovers.

A great year for Roseto, after the agreement between Regione and tour operator Neckermann. Bookings are already being made, and every week charter flights will leave from four German cities to Pescara. More accomodations are being prepared in the Northern lungomare.
